Top 10 Transitional Skirts for Fall

Fall does not seem to want to make an appearance here in Chicago! We've had some days where the temps were even higher than we saw this summer and even our cooler days have been above the usual average temps for the season, so I've been thankful for pieces that SAY Fall while they FEEL like Summer (bonus points if the piece can work in colder temps too!) There are very few better ways to transition seasons than by bringing in Fall patterns and colors with cuts and styles that can be worn on their own during an Indian Summer or layered for warmth once temps actually drop.

One of my favorite ways to do this is with skirts or dresses because, let's be honest, no one wants heavy fabrics pressed all up against every inch of their skin when its toasty outside (can I get an AMEN???)!

This mini skirt from Zara makes the most of the New Americana / Tribal vibes that are all over the place, while also bringing in some moody fall florals.  This skirt has been fun to pair with these sleek heeled sock boots and fitted tops like this black cardigan, but could just as easily be worn with a simple t-shirt or a cozy oversized sweater and a pair of slides.
